The rules, briefly

Using Chuleta

• Chuleta is free. It’s run by Chuleta Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17209179).
• You need to be 16 or older to create an account with an email. Anyone can practise without saving, or save with a nickname and a secret number.
• One account or nickname per person, please. Keep your secret number and your sign-in to yourself. If you let someone else use them, what they do counts as yours. We can’t recover a lost secret number, because we don’t know who you are.
• Voice answers (switched off for now) are for practising Spanish. Don’t record anything offensive or anyone else’s voice without asking them.
• Only scan vocab sheets. We don’t keep your photo. Anthropic, which reads it, deletes it within 30 days. A photo that isn’t a vocab sheet is dropped, and after three unsuitable photos in a day, scanning pauses until the next day on that connection.
• Don’t try to break, copy or scrape the app or its word lists and audio.

For teachers sharing a sheet

• Class sheets are for students aged 13 and over. Please don’t share a class link with younger students.
• Only snap vocab sheets, and keep names and personal details out of the class name and the name you show students.
• You see totals for your class, never names or answers, and only once 5 students have practised. Please don’t try to work out who is who from them.
• You can switch a link off at any time on the class page. Deleting your account deletes your classes.

What we promise, and what we can’t

• This is an early version. Things may change, break, or go offline for a while. We’ll do our best to keep your progress safe, but we can’t guarantee it.
• Chuleta helps you practise. We can’t promise any particular exam grade.
• Chuleta is not connected with, or approved by, AQA or Pearson Edexcel. Their names only say which word lists we work from.
• Nothing here takes away your rights under UK consumer law.

Ending things

• You can stop at any time and delete your nickname or your account from Profile.
• We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
